Our extracurricular activities (Exlorite!)

are intended to enhance educational opportunities for our learners and promote personal development. Our school provides a range of chances for learners to explore their hobbies, develop leadership skills, and build lifelong connections in addition to their academic journey. These options range from sports teams to clubs, cultural events, and community service efforts.

 

KG2 – Grade 2

  • Drama

Drama, as an extracurricular activity, is a creative outlet that allows students to explore their emotions and express themselves through performance. It fosters teamwork, confidence, and public speaking skills. By immersing themselves in different characters and stories, students develop empathy, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Handcrafts

It provides a therapeutic escape from daily stress, encourages self-expression, and fosters a sense of accomplishment and pride in creating something tangible.

  • Gardening

Gardening, as an extracurricular activity, involves cultivating and nurturing plants in different spaces. It provides an opportunity to connect with nature, learn about plant life cycles, and develop responsibility and patience. Gardening also promotes physical activity, environmental awareness, and the satisfaction of seeing the fruits of one's labor flourish.

  • Heatless Kitchen

Heatless cooking, as an extracurricular activity, involves preparing meals or snacks without the use of traditional cooking methods like stovetops or ovens. It encourages creativity in recipe creation, teaches essential kitchen skills, and promotes healthy eating habits. Heatless cooking also enhances food safety knowledge and allows for exploration of diverse culinary traditions.

 

Grades 3-5

  • Arabic Drama

Arabic studies, as an extracurricular activity, involves the study of the Arabic language, culture, and literature. It provides a valuable opportunity to develop linguistic proficiency, cultural awareness, and cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Board Games

Board games, as an extracurricular activity, involve playing strategic games on a board with others. They encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.   • Etiquette club

  • Dabkeh Dancing

  • Latin and Spanish Carnival

Latin and Spanish Carnival, as an extracurricular activity, celebrates the colorful and energetic traditions of Latin American and Spanish cultures and promotes the speaking of Spanish in multiple new settings.       It involves learning and performing traditional dances, music, and costumes associated with carnivals. Participants gain cultural awareness, teamwork, and confidence while fostering a sense of community and preserving cultural heritage.

  • Yearbook Design

Yearbook design, as an extracurricular activity, involves creating and designing a school yearbook that captures memories and showcases the school community.
